Linda Russell, LPC – is a native of Oklahoma. She holds her bachelor’s, master’s and doctor’s degrees from Oklahoma State University in education. She also holds a second master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in Human Relations with a counseling emphasis and she holds a license in professional counseling (LPC). She is a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC), Certified Distance Counselor (CDC), and a Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor (CCFC). Linda is an EMDR (Eye Movement Desentization Reprocessing) EMDRIA Approved Consultant and Trainer for EMDR Consulting group.
She has dedicated over two decades to researching and helping those affected by adoption. She founded Levigram Ministries, a 501(c) 3 in 2001 and Family Preservation Outreach in 2011. Dr. Russell (formerly known as Kats) wrote a book on adoption called, Blended Hearts Broken Promises and has authored several audio series on various life improvement issues.
Linda works full time as a counselor and is a nationally known lecturer and presenter as well as an approved trainer and consultant for EMDR. In addition to consulting with other therapists, she presents seminars, workshops and lectures on many core mental health topics using motivational tactics and a positive, healthy approach. Settings range from small workshops to a plenary speaker for full length seminars with hundreds of attendees.
Linda Russell has been a guest on Health Talk as well as an authority on various mental health issues. She is a private pilot and enjoys running and Bible study. She is an entrepreneurial spirit and owns several different real estate and business entities. She is also a 1989 graduate of Victory Bible Institute.
John R. Miller
John R. Miller, LPC – is a native of Oklahoma, born in Enid and making Tulsa/Broken Arrow his home for the past 24 years. John graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor Degree in Education and Oral Roberts University with a Master Degree in Christian Counseling. John is a Licensed Professional Counselor who successfully works with substance abuse, marriage counseling, families and children.
John recently joined Breakthrough Counseling practice group desiring to counsel in the areas of addiction, marriages, family and children. John is also a former teacher and coach for Union Public Schools where he served for 20 years. John also served as facilitator for the Union School District Tobacco Cessation Program and the Parent/Student Integration Program which included education-based seminars on tobacco, drugs, and alcohol usage for adolescent students and their parents. John was a facilitator for the Adventure Ropes Course for leadership and Team-building Training at Union 9th Grade Center.
John is married with four children and 4 grandchildren. He attends GUTS Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he is an active member and volunteer.
Candice Primm, LCSW, IMH-E (III) – Has lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University, a Master of Science from Northeastern State University, and Master of Social Work degree the University of Oklahoma. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with an endorsement in Infant Mental Health from the Oklahoma Association of Infant Mental Health.
Candice has experience as a teacher and began working as a therapist with families and children ranging from birth to 17 years old. Candice is a trained EMDR therapist and works with trauma, abuse, and complicated grief with specialized training in forensic assessment for Tulsa Safe Babies Court Team including attachment issues, foster care, and adoption. Candice is a facilitator for the Circle of Security-Parenting group and enjoys helping people strengthen and repair their close relationships.
Candice enjoys outdoors, photography, yoga, and martial arts. She volunteers as a facilitator for a sexual abuse survivor group and for a prison ministry. She and her husband share their home with five rescue animals.
Mona Duncan, LPC – is a native of Memphis, Tennessee who has called the Tulsa area home for more than 20 years. After spending over two decades in business and accounting, she returned to school and earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Gerontology and a Masters in Counseling Psychology, both from Southern Nazarene University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and trained in EMDR.
Mona has considerable experience helping those with complex trauma and has spent the last 11 years working with families in crisis, including volunteering with women and children in a faith- based domestic violence shelter and working extensively with families in the child welfare system. She is trained to facilitate Circle of Security Parenting® and Nurturing Parenting® and enjoys helping people strengthen their parenting abilities. Mona is passionate about helping people work to grow their self-esteem, recognize their own worth, and strengthen their personal relationships.
Mona enjoys serving at church, reading, music, road trips, antiquing, family game night, and watching college football. She and her husband have two adult sons and share their home with three rescue dogs.
